SohamJoshi: The obstacle of limited number of subjects in academic program has challenged me to explore new way to acquire knowledge, other than just textbook based learning. Every time I learnt new idea, topic, I started blogging about it. My First blog is on “History of Political Ideas”, where I wrote on Political thoughts by Plato, Socrates and Aristotle. The ideological differences among them challenged me into thinking about the true virtue beyond the realms of ideological biases emerging from the society we live in. While contemplating on the philosophical nature of political ideas that laid foundation for modern day politics, led me to think about eminent philosophers in Economics from History. Thus, my second blog was on “History of Economics”, The Keynesian economics led me to brood on consumerism since as per him, that is the best fuel to feed the capitalism. This train of thoughts emerging from the second blog made me think, if it is even possible to have democratic capitalism, as these two seemed to be two conflicting beliefs, where democracy is equalizing force and capitalism works against any kind of equability.
